Training & Continuing Education

Training and continued education in the most current evidence-based treatments and best practice standards are essential parts of establishing and maintaining a successful treatment court program.  Starting in 2026, the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, Treatment Courts Division introduced the requirement for all Pennsylvania treatment courts to become certified, starting with Drug, DUI, and Hybrid Courts and adding Mental Health Courts and Veterans Courts in 2027.  12.0 Continuing Education Units will be required annually to obtain and maintain certification.

The PATCP Annual Conference will provide 12.0 CEU’s for all disciplines, with other resources for online training from national organizations such at All Rise, National Center for State Courts, and AOPC’s Event Recording Treatment Court training sessions.
